Our commercial energy consulting team provides energy
audits for commercial, municipal and industrial buildings.
A high performance building audit focuses on energy efficiency, and also
includes an assessment and analysis of other building performance
measures, such as moisture management, environmental issues, and
comfort. Click
here to view a case study featuring our work with the Town of
Hillsborough, which involved conducting high performance building
audits for 10 of the Town's facilities.
A typical energy audit project includes the following items:
 | A full on-site inspection of the building looking at all aspects
of building performance
 | Energy utility bill audit/analysis
 | Research on specific identified issues
 | Identification of any high priority energy, building
performance, environmental, or safety issues
 | Low and no-cost operation and maintenance recommendations
 | Fast to long-term payback recommendations
 | Moisture and indoor air quality improvement recommendations
 | Initial planning for HVAC equipment replacements
 | Long term building greening opportunities |

When possible, recommendations will have estimated
implementation costs, savings and simple payback calculations. The
actual deliverables will be an Energy/High Performance Building
Audit Report with the above recommendations and a presentation
meeting, during which time we will explain the report and answer any
questions.
For new construction, we recommend starting with a
high performance building plan review. This is a relatively low-cost
step that identifies potential problems, and offers options for
increasing the energy performance of your building before you
break ground.
We also offer LEED certification and point documentation with an
emphasis on energy performance and renewable energy.
